The United Niger Delta Amnesty Delegate Network has openly reaffirmed its total confidence and unwavering support for the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, High Chief Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, describing him as a transformational leader whose administration has ushered in a new era of peace, empowerment, educational advancement, and hope across the Niger Delta region.
In a statement made available to the press through the Chairman of the Network, Engineer Ebi Temile, the group praised Dr. Otuaro for what it described as exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and an uncommon commitment to the welfare of the people of the Niger Delta.
According to the delegates, Dr. Otuaro has demonstrated remarkable capacity in managing one of the region’s most sensitive and strategic institutions through regular consultations and productive engagement with traditional rulers, camp leaders, youth organizations, women groups, community stakeholders, and critical interest groups.
They noted that this inclusive leadership style has significantly strengthened trust, promoted unity, and helped maintain peace and stability throughout the Niger Delta.
The group further stated that under Dr. Otuaro’s stewardship, the Presidential Amnesty Programme has continued to record major successes in youth development and human capital investment, especially through scholarship programmes, vocational empowerment, and leadership development initiatives.
They highlighted that numerous beneficiaries from the Niger Delta have been given opportunities to study in reputable institutions both within Nigeria and abroad, thereby creating a generation of educated, skilled, and globally competitive youths prepared to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The delegates described the Administrator’s scholarship drive as an educational revolution that has restored dreams, transformed families, and changed the future of many young people in the region.
They also commended the expansion of skill acquisition programmes and entrepreneurship support initiatives, noting that many youths who once lacked opportunities now have access to training, tools, and platforms for self-reliance and economic growth.
According to the statement, Dr. Otuaro’s mandate has provided strength, stability, and renewed direction for the Niger Delta people.
“Standing on your mandate is like standing on a solid rock that will stand the test of time,” the group declared, adding that his leadership has inspired confidence and renewed optimism among the youth population.
They stressed that in the past two years of his administration, the positive impact of his programmes has been deeply felt across communities in the Niger Delta, where many now see the Amnesty Programme not merely as an intervention agency, but as a beacon of opportunity and regional transformation.
The group expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Otuaro for being a symbol of hope, educational growth, peacebuilding, and sustainable progress in the Niger Delta.
Praise for Tompolo and Tantita Security Services
In the same statement, the United Niger Delta Amnesty Delegate Network also showered encomiums on High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for his continued patriotic contributions to the peace, security, and economic advancement of the Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
They particularly commended Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for its decisive and effective role in combating crude oil theft, pipeline vandalism, illegal refining, and maritime criminality in the region.
According to the group, the operations of Tantita have not only helped secure vital national assets but have also contributed immensely to improved oil production levels, increased national revenue, and environmental protection.
They described Tompolo as a courageous and visionary leader whose commitment to justice, regional development, and national unity remains exemplary.
Endorsement of President Tinubu’s Second-Term Bid
The Network also used the opportunity to declare its support for the second-term ambition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing ongoing reforms, renewed federal attention to the Niger Delta, and the administration’s determination to reposition Nigeria for growth and stability.
They stated that President Tinubu’s leadership deserves continuity in order to consolidate current reforms, deepen infrastructure development, create more opportunities for young people, and strengthen national security.
The group further pledged to mobilize grassroots support across the Niger Delta in favour of the President’s re-election.
In addition, they endorsed the proposed door-to-door grassroots mobilization campaign being championed by Tompolo in support of President Tinubu, describing it as a timely and strategic effort aimed at sensitizing communities on the importance of continuity and progressive governance.
According to the delegates, the campaign would resonate strongly with the people because of Tompolo’s credibility, grassroots connection, and long-standing commitment to the welfare of the region.
Call for Unity and Continued Progress
The United Niger Delta Amnesty Delegate Network concluded by calling on all stakeholders in the Niger Delta to continue supporting purposeful leadership, peacebuilding efforts, youth empowerment programmes, and policies that promote sustainable development.
They reaffirmed their readiness to stand with leaders and institutions that place the people first and work tirelessly for the advancement of the region.
