By Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi
A frontline aspirant for the Warri North Constituency II seat in the Delta State House of Assembly, Apostle Engineer Vasco Freedom Tuwasigha, has called for peace, unity, and reconciliation among members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the emergence of Chief Ebipade Kari as the consensus candidate reportedly endorsed by party leaders ahead of the forthcoming elections.
In a statesmanlike appeal, Tuwasigha urged all aspirants who participated in the internal consultations and political processes leading to the selection of the consensus candidate to place the collective interest of the party above individual ambitions.
According to him, every political contest must ultimately serve the larger objective of strengthening the party and positioning it for victory during the general election.
The APC chieftain noted that while every aspirant entered the race with genuine aspirations to serve the people, the decision of party leaders should be respected in the spirit of unity, discipline, and political maturity.
He emphasized that no individual ambition should be allowed to overshadow the broader goal of securing electoral victory for the APC in Warri North Constituency II.
Support for Chief Ebipade Kari
Tuwasigha congratulated Chief Ebipade Kari on his emergence as the consensus candidate and expressed confidence in his capacity to represent the constituency effectively if elected.
He described Chief Kari as a respected son of Warri North whose experience, political exposure, and understanding of the needs of the people could contribute positively to the development of the constituency.
The aspirant therefore appealed to all stakeholders, party faithful, youth groups, women leaders, and supporters across the constituency to rally behind the consensus candidate and work together to ensure the APC records a resounding victory at the polls.
Appeal for Inclusiveness
While endorsing the party’s decision, Tuwasigha also urged Chief Ebipade Kari and the APC leadership to carry all former aspirants along in the spirit of inclusiveness and fairness.
According to him, every aspirant contributed significantly to the growth of the party through grassroots mobilization, consultations, and engagement with the electorate.
He stressed that the strength of the APC lies in its ability to unite diverse interests and talents towards a common objective.
“The party leadership and our consensus candidate should ensure that nobody is left behind. Every aspirant made sacrifices and invested time, energy, and resources in strengthening our party. Their contributions should be recognized and harnessed for the collective success of the APC,” he stated.
Victory Through Unity
Tuwasigha maintained that the forthcoming election can only be won through unity, mutual respect, and collective effort.
He warned against bitterness, division, and political disagreements capable of weakening the party’s chances at the polls.
Instead, he encouraged members to close ranks and focus on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Warri North Constituency II.
The APC stalwart further urged supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding throughout the electioneering period, emphasizing that politics should never become a source of conflict among brothers and sisters who share common aspirations for development.
A Message of Hope
As preparations intensify for the general election, Apostle Engineer Vasco Freedom Tuwasigha expressed optimism that the APC would emerge stronger and more united.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting every effort aimed at promoting peace, progress, and development within Warri North and called on all party members to work together for the overall success of the party.
According to him, when unity prevails, victory becomes inevitable.
