CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO COMRADE DR. DOUBRA COLLINS OKOTETE ON HIS ELECTION AS PRESIDENT OF THE IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC) WORLDWIDE

The United Presidential Amnesty Forum (UPAF), under the able leadership of its Chairman, Engr. Ebi Temile, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete on his resounding victory and election as the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.
The Forum also congratulates Comrade Omaghomi Olu-Derimon (OOD) and every other candidate who emerged victorious during the historic IYC Worldwide National Convention and elections. Your emergence reflects the confidence reposed in you by delegates and the collective aspiration of the Ijaw youth for visionary, courageous and unifying leadership. (Ijaw Youth Council)
The Ijaw Youth Council remains the foremost platform for the advancement of the interests, rights and aspirations of Ijaw youths across Nigeria and the diaspora. Your election comes at a crucial period when the Ijaw nation requires purposeful leadership to consolidate peace, strengthen unity, promote youth empowerment, defend the collective interest of the Niger Delta and sustain the ideals upon which the Council was founded.
Engr. Ebi Temile, on behalf of the leadership and members of the United Presidential Amnesty Forum, expresses confidence that the new leadership under Comrade Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete will provide inclusive, transparent and progressive leadership capable of fostering reconciliation among stakeholders, deepening democratic values and championing developmental initiatives that will positively impact Ijaw communities.
The Forum urges the newly elected executives to remain committed to justice, equity, accountability and selfless service while carrying every segment of the Ijaw nation along irrespective of political or sectional differences. We equally encourage those who participated in the election but were unsuccessful to support the new leadership in the overall interest of the Ijaw nation.
As partners in the pursuit of peace and sustainable development in the Niger Delta, the United Presidential Amnesty Forum pledges its continued support and collaboration with the new IYC leadership in promoting programmes that will empower youths, enhance regional stability and create opportunities for future generations.
We pray that Almighty God grants Comrade Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete, Comrade Omaghomi Olu-Derimon (OOD) and the entire newly elected National Executive Council wisdom, divine guidance, good health, courage and success as they discharge the enormous responsibility entrusted to them.
Congratulations once again on this well-deserved victory. May your tenure usher in a new era of unity, progress and greater accomplishments for the Ijaw nation.
