Philanthropist Distributes Bags of Garri and Pupuru to Igbobini and Oluagbo Communities

In an inspiring demonstration of humanitarian service and community solidarity, Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube, the Chief Executive Officer of Bradama International Skills Limited, Founder of Gallery Security Services Limited, the Beleukoriwei of Arogbo-Ibe Kingdom, and a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has donated food items worth millions of naira to victims of the devastating flood that recently ravaged Igbobini and Oluagbo communities in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The intervention, which took place on Thursday, August 7, 2026, brought relief and renewed hope to thousands of displaced residents whose homes, farmlands, businesses, and means of livelihood were severely affected by the flood disaster.
The flood, which submerged several communities across the riverine axis of Ese-Odo, has left many families homeless and struggling to survive. In response to the humanitarian crisis, Snr. High Chief Ajube mobilized substantial quantities of essential food items, including bags of garri and pupuru, to support the victims during this difficult period.
Hope Amid Hardship
Residents from Igbobini, Oluagbo, and neighbouring communities gathered in large numbers to receive the relief materials. The distribution exercise was carefully coordinated by community leaders and youth volunteers to ensure fairness and to prioritize the most vulnerable households, including widows, the elderly, and families displaced by the floodwaters.
Speaking through his representative, Mr. Denis Pounah, Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube expressed deep sympathy for the victims and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting communities in times of distress.
According to him:
“This is who we are as a people. In times like this, we must stand with our brothers and sisters. What happened in Igbobini and Oluagbo is unfortunate, and as a community servant, I cannot sit and watch my people suffer. I will continue to give because it is one of my callings in life. This is only the beginning, and we will continue to support until government intervention fully arrives.”
He further encouraged beneficiaries to use the items responsibly and urged residents to remain hopeful and prayerful as governments and relevant stakeholders work towards providing sustainable solutions to the perennial flooding challenges facing riverine communities.
Community Leaders Express Gratitude
Reacting to the intervention, the representative of the Olu of Igbobini, High Chief Taiwo Abisagbo, alongside the Baale of Oluagbo, High Chief Femi Irinyemi, conveyed profound appreciation to Snr. High Chief Ajube for his generosity and timely response.
The traditional leaders lamented the enormous losses suffered by residents and described the donation as a lifeline to many families struggling to cope with the disaster.
They stated:
“We have lost almost everything to this flood. This kind gesture has brought food to our tables today. We sincerely thank Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube for remembering us in our time of need. May God continue to bless him and his family abundantly.”
Similarly, the Youth President of Igbobini, Chief Oyekanmi Babatunde, commended the philanthropist for his consistent commitment to the welfare of riverine communities, particularly during periods of crisis.
According to him, Snr. High Chief Ajube’s continuous interventions have earned him the admiration, love, and respect of the people across the region.
A Call for More Support
As the flood crisis continues to affect several communities in Ese-Odo and other parts of the Niger Delta, residents have appealed to government agencies, humanitarian organizations, corporate bodies, and public-spirited individuals to complement the efforts of philanthropists such as Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube.
Observers noted that while emergency relief materials provide temporary succour, long-term solutions such as improved drainage systems, shoreline protection, flood-control infrastructure, and environmental management policies are essential to preventing future disasters.
The event concluded with prayers for the quick recession of the floodwaters, the safety of affected residents, and divine blessings upon Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube and all those contributing to the welfare of flood victims.
