Lagos Chapter of Ofunama Federated Communities Declares Total Support for Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi, Mobilises Members for 2027 Elections

The Lagos Chapter of the Ofunama Federated Communities has unanimously endorsed the candidacy of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the Ovia South West Constituency seat in the Edo State House of Assembly, Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi, pledging its unwavering support towards ensuring his victory in the 2027 general elections.
The landmark endorsement was reached during the chapter’s monthly general meeting, where members resolved to throw their full weight behind Dr. Agbedeyi’s aspiration, citing his outstanding leadership qualities, academic accomplishments, unwavering commitment to grassroots development, and relentless advocacy for the welfare of the people of Ovia South West, particularly the Ijaw communities.
Speaking on behalf of the chapter, Sir Odis Osifo, disclosed that the decision was unanimously adopted after extensive deliberations by members who unanimously agreed that Dr. Agbedeyi possesses the competence, integrity, and vision required to effectively represent Ovia South West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly.
According to Sir Osifo, the Lagos Chapter has not only endorsed Dr. Agbedeyi’s candidacy but has also commenced plans to mobilise eligible members residing in Lagos to transfer their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to Ovia South West Constituency in Edo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He explained that the initiative is aimed at delivering substantial bloc votes in support of the National Rescue Movement candidate, describing the move as a demonstration of the community’s confidence in Dr. Agbedeyi’s ability to provide purposeful and people-oriented representation.
“We have resolved as a united body to support Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi because we believe in his vision and capacity. We are encouraging all our members who are eligible voters to transfer their voting locations to Ovia South West so that together we can contribute meaningfully to his electoral success in 2027,” Sir Osifo stated.
He further commended Dr. Agbedeyi for his consistent dedication to grassroots development and his unwavering passion for addressing the socio-economic challenges confronting communities across Ovia South West. He particularly applauded the NRM candidate’s sustained advocacy for justice, equity, and inclusive development for the Ijaw people and other indigenous communities within the constituency.
He noted that over the years, Dr. Agbedeyi has distinguished himself through selfless service, intellectual leadership, and community engagement, adding that his campaigns for equitable political representation, quality education, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, and improved welfare have earned him widespread respect across the constituency.
Members who spoke during the meeting described Dr. Agbedeyi as a leader whose political philosophy is rooted in service, transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.
