NRM Presidential Primary Gains Momentum as Party Leaders, Stakeholders Converge
The atmosphere within the National Rescue Movement (NRM) continues to gather political energy and nationwide attention as the party’s presidential primary election process moves forward with key stakeholders, state chairmen, delegates, and party faithful in active participation across strategic consultations and engagements at Abuja.
Among the notable leaders present at the ongoing political activities are the Ondo State Chairman and members of the National Management Committee (NMC), including Prophet (Hon.) Kpiki Blessing Ebitibi, alongside the Edo State Chairman of the party, Double Chief Cyrus Olopele, whose presence further demonstrated the party’s growing organizational strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The National Rescue Movement, under the leadership of its National Chairman, Prince (Dr.) Chinedu Obi (Ohamadike), has repeatedly emphasized the party’s commitment to internal democracy, transparent leadership recruitment, and national political rebirth.(nrm.org.ng)
Political observers say the ongoing presidential primary process reflects the determination of the party to position itself as a formidable alternative force capable of reshaping Nigeria’s political direction ahead of the 2027 elections.
Speaking during interactions with stakeholders, party leaders reportedly reaffirmed the need for unity, grassroots mobilization, youth inclusion, and issue-based politics as the NRM continues consultations nationwide.
The presence of influential state executives and national officers at the exercise has further strengthened confidence among supporters who believe the party is steadily building a broad national structure capable of competing effectively across the federation.
The Edo State Chairman, Double Chief Cyrus Olopele, was seen engaging delegates and party faithful, while Prophet (Hon.) Kpiki Blessing Ebitibi and members of the National Management Committee coordinated strategic discussions aimed at ensuring a smooth and transparent process.

Meanwhile, Dr. Odimientimi Agbedeyi, aspirant for the Ovia South West Constituency House of Assembly seat in Edo State under the platform of the National Rescue Movement, described the ongoing activities within the party as a sign of political awakening and renewed hope for Nigerians seeking purposeful leadership.
According to him, the growing participation of stakeholders from different states demonstrates that the NRM is gradually emerging as a people-driven movement anchored on justice, development, transparency, and national unity.
Dr. Agbedeyi further commended the national leadership of the party for sustaining internal democratic processes and encouraging wider participation among youths, professionals, traditional stakeholders, and grassroots mobilizers.
He noted that the future of Nigeria depends largely on visionary leadership, accountability, and the willingness of political actors to place national interest above personal ambition.
As consultations and primary activities continue, supporters of the party across several states have expressed optimism that the National Rescue Movement may become one of the defining political forces ahead of the next electoral cycle.
