Dr Odimientimi Agbedeyi Congratulates Tompolo on AFRIMMA ‘Guardian of the Nation’ Award

The Chief Executive Officer of Global Egberi TV Ofunama and Dean, School of Applied Sciences, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, Dr Odimientimi Agbedeyi, has congratulated High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on his recent “Guardian of the Nation” Award at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) in Dallas, Texas. Dr Agbedeyi described the recognition as a significant honour for Tompolo and a moment of pride for the Niger Delta, noting that AFRIMMA recognised his contributions to the protection of critical national assets and peace and development efforts in the region. (Channels Television)
“I warmly congratulate High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on this prestigious recognition. It is a remarkable honour, and I celebrate this achievement with him, his family, associates and the people of the Niger Delta,” Dr Agbedeyi said.
The award was presented during the AFRIMMA ceremony held on September 12, 2026, at Annette Strauss Square in Dallas. (Area News)
Dr Agbedeyi said the recognition further places the Niger Delta in the international spotlight and congratulated Tompolo for the honour.
“Congratulations, High Chief Tompolo. May this recognition inspire even greater contributions to peace, development and the advancement of the Niger Delta and Nigeria.”
Dr Odimientimi Agbedeyi is also a House of Assembly candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) for Ovia South-West Local Government Area, Edo State.
