PAP Beneficiaries in Edo Endorse Tinubu for Second Term, Back Otuaro’s Reforms

The Presidential Amnesty Programme Beneficiaries (PAPB), Edo State Chapter, has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 General Election, while expressing strong support for the reforms and initiatives of the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
The endorsement was contained in a statement jointly signed by the leadership of the PAPB Edo State Chapter, comprising its Patron, HRH Henry Binidodogha, the Ovuru 1 of Ofunama Land; Coordinator, Mr. Eferusuoa Endurance; Adviser, High Chief Ayemogho Tony; and Mobilization Officer, Mr. Alex Dídi Bele.
According to the group, its decision to support President Tinubu is largely informed by what it described as his commitment to the sustainability of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and the administration’s efforts toward maintaining peace and stability across the Niger Delta region.
The beneficiaries also commended Dr. Dennis Otuaro for what they described as his “giant strides” and reforms in the Amnesty Programme, saying that the initiatives have contributed to strengthening the programme and improving its impact among beneficiaries and communities within the Niger Delta.
Support for Tinubu’s Second-Term Bid
The PAPB Edo State Chapter declared that it would mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 presidential election.
The group said its endorsement was not only political but was also based on what it considered the President’s support for the continued existence and sustainability of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
The beneficiaries maintained that the programme remains important to the peace-building and development process in the Niger Delta and therefore welcomed efforts aimed at ensuring its continued operation.
PAPB Commends Otuaro’s Reforms
The group also threw its weight behind the current leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme under Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
The beneficiaries said Otuaro’s reforms and initiatives represented significant steps toward repositioning the programme and ensuring that its benefits continue to reach its intended beneficiaries.
They particularly linked the progress recorded under the programme to the broader peace enjoyed in the Niger Delta, expressing appreciation for initiatives they believe have helped consolidate stability in the region.
Door-to-Door Mobilisation for Renewed Hope
Beyond its endorsement, the PAPB Edo State Chapter disclosed that it is working with the Door 2 Door Movement to take what it described as the “good news” of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to communities and residents across Edo State.
The group said the mobilisation would involve reaching out directly to Nigerians across the state to communicate the administration’s policies, programmes and achievements.
According to the beneficiaries, the door-to-door approach is intended to strengthen grassroots engagement and create greater awareness of the Federal Government’s agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Leadership Reaffirms Commitment
The joint statement was signed by HRH Henry Binidodogha, the Ovuru 1 of Ofunama Land, in his capacity as Patron; Mr. Eferusuoa Endurance, Coordinator; High Chief Ayemogho Tony, Adviser; and Mr. Alex Dídi Bele, Mobilization Officer.
The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising PAP beneficiaries and supporters across Edo State in support of President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, while also defending the continued implementation of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
The group further called on beneficiaries and other stakeholders in the Niger Delta to support initiatives that promote peace, stability, empowerment and sustainable development in the region.
With the 2027 General Election approaching, the declaration places the PAPB Edo State Chapter among groups beginning to publicly align with political mobilisation efforts, while its simultaneous endorsement of Dr. Otuaro’s reforms underscores the importance the beneficiaries attach to the continued sustainability of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
