NRM National Management Committee Storms Ondo State, Meets Party Leaders and Candidates in Strategic Southwest Consultation Tour
National Leaders Charge Candidates and Party Executives on Unity, Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of Future Elections

In a renewed effort to reposition the National Rescue Movement (NRM) as a formidable political force across Nigeria, the party’s National Management Committee (NMC) has continued its nationwide consultation and reorganization exercise with a strategic visit to Ondo State as part of its Southwest stakeholders’ engagement tour.
The high-powered delegation, led by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Peter O. Letsuwa, and the National Woman Leader, Ambassador Sola Alice Oluwatunmise, alongside other distinguished members of the National Management Committee, was warmly received in Akure by the leadership of the National Rescue Movement in Ondo State.
Leading the reception was the Ondo State Chairman of the party, Prophet (Hon.) Kpiki Blessing Ebitibi, who welcomed the visiting national leaders on behalf of the entire state chapter.
The event also witnessed the presence of the party’s House of Senate candidates, House of Representatives candidates, House of Assembly candidates, state executive members, local government executives, ward leaders, women and youth leaders, as well as several frontline stakeholders committed to the growth of the National Rescue Movement in Ondo State.
Strengthening Party Structures Across the Southwest
The Ondo State engagement forms part of the National Management Committee’s comprehensive Southwest consultation tour designed to strengthen party structures, deepen internal democracy, promote effective communication between the national and state leadership, and prepare the party for future electoral contests.
The tour commenced on Thursday, July 23, 2026, with a visit to Ekiti State, after which the delegation proceeded to Akure for the Ondo State stakeholders’ meeting before continuing to other Southwest states.
Party faithful described the visit as a major milestone that reflects the commitment of the national leadership to building a united, disciplined, and people-oriented political movement capable of providing credible leadership for Nigeria.
Grand Reception for National Leaders
The Ondo State chapter organized a colourful reception in honour of the visiting National Management Committee members.
A specially designed welcome banner displayed at the venue officially received the delegation to the Sunshine State with the inspiring message:
“Together, We Rescue, Restore and Rebuild.”
The meeting, held at the NRM State Secretariat, Adegbola Junction, opposite Chicken Republic, Akure, brought together party leaders from across the state in an atmosphere of unity, optimism, and renewed commitment to the ideals of the National Rescue Movement.
Interactive Meeting Focuses on Party Rebuilding
The stakeholders’ meeting followed a carefully prepared programme that encouraged interaction between the national leadership and members of the Ondo State chapter.

The interactive session provided candidates, party executives, and members with an opportunity to discuss the challenges confronting the party, propose practical solutions, and receive policy direction from the National Management Committee.
Several participants applauded the national leadership for adopting a consultative approach that allows grassroots members to actively contribute to the rebuilding process of the party.
Candidates Reaffirm Commitment to the Party
One of the major highlights of the meeting was the participation of the party’s candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly, who reaffirmed their commitment to the ideals and manifesto of the National Rescue Movement.
The candidates pledged to work closely with the national and state leadership in expanding the party’s grassroots support, promoting issue-based politics, and presenting credible alternatives capable of transforming governance in Nigeria.
They also commended the National Management Committee for embarking on the consultation tour, describing it as a demonstration of visionary leadership and inclusiveness.
National Leaders Call for Unity and Mobilisation
Addressing party members, the National Management Committee emphasized the need for unity, discipline, loyalty, and sustained grassroots mobilization.
The delegation encouraged members to remain steadfast, strengthen party structures at the ward and local government levels, and intensify membership drives to attract more Nigerians who share the vision of the National Rescue Movement.
The national leaders reiterated that only a united political family can effectively deliver the party’s agenda of rescuing, restoring, and rebuilding the nation.
Southwest Consultation Continues
According to the itinerary released by the National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Peter O. Letsuwa, the Southwest consultation tour is scheduled as follows:
- Thursday, July 23, 2026: Visit to Ekiti State before proceeding to Akure.
- Friday, July 24, 2026: Stakeholders’ meeting with Ondo State executives and candidates before departure to Ibadan.
- Saturday, July 25, 2026: Meeting with Osun State executives.
- Tuesday, July 28, 2026: Engagement with Oyo State chapter.
- Wednesday, July 29, 2026: Meeting with Ogun State executives before proceeding to Lagos.
- Thursday, July 30, 2026: Final consultation with Lagos State executives.
The consultation tour is expected to strengthen coordination among state chapters while ensuring that party policies and programmes are effectively implemented across the Southwest.
A New Phase for the National Rescue Movement
Political analysts believe the ongoing consultation tour marks a significant step in the National Rescue Movement’s efforts to consolidate its structures and expand its political influence ahead of future elections.
The active participation of elected party officials, candidates, and grassroots leaders demonstrates growing confidence in the leadership of the party and its determination to emerge as a credible platform for democratic governance.
